  • Comfortable space for the horses you are towing
  • Look at roof height, allowing the height of your horse to stand without dwarfing
  • Electric brakes (in working order) & breakaway unit
  • Light truck tyres
  • SOLID, sound flooring (most important!); steel followed by hardwoord, layered with plywood
  • Strong welding (Australian steel for our terrain) & good construction techniques
  • Fully rated jockey wheel
  • Good ventilation; sliding windows & pop up vents
  • Removable dividers – head, chest & shoulder
  • Adjustable chest bar (needed for different horse heights)
  • Smooth edges on all outer surfaces; mud guards, tailgates, access doors
  • Safely located recessed tie-up points
  • Rear latches that a horse can’t get hooked on
  • Swing out breech gates that open wide enough
  • Fixed rubber matting on the floor, sides & tailgate ramp
  • Guard bars over all windows
  • Multiple internal tie-up points ~ recessed near head postion
  • Padding on chest bar, centre divider all horse surfaces
  • Filled in A-frame tow-bar
  • Gas struts on all access doors & tack doors
  • Recessed latch on front door
  • Covered light fixtures
  • Rear upper door or tarp for dust or rain that can be kept open while travelling in hot weather
  • Rear holding bracket for superior air flow
  • Chequer plate protection
